The Pennsylvania Environmental Literacy (ELIT) and Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) Capacity Building Task Force, Pennsylvania Department of Education, and Stroud Water Research Center are thrilled to announce the creation of the Pennsylvania Gateway to Green website!
With almost 500 environmental education (EE) providers across Pennsylvania, this website can be your central hub for finding resources and links to state agencies, nature centers, and other EE providers to help increase environmental literacy in your school and community.
Pennsylvania Gateway to Green features information about EE and ELIT in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Pathways to Green Schools, environmental justice, Pennsylvania watersheds and agriculture education, preparing students for green careers, and help resources. Additional resources, including exemplar EE lessons, will be added as the website is updated.
We thank Chesapeake Bay Trust (with funds from NOAA) and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, via their Environment and Ecology program, for funding the creation of this hub to environmental literacy resources.
