Dive Even Deeper: Trees, Watersheds, and Streams

- Where: White Clay Creek Preserve, 405 Sharpless Road, Landenberg, PA 19350.
- Audience: K-12 classroom teachers, preservice teachers, school administrators, curriculum designers, and nonformal educators.
- Credits: Twelve Act 48 continuing education hours will be provided for Pa. Certified Teachers.
- Cost: $30 to provide lunch and snacks each day.
- MWEE Designation: Pa. Certified MWEE Ambassador.
This two-day professional learning workshop offers a deeper, structured Ambassador training pathway and immersive, hands-on instruction on tree species identification, site selection, planting protocols, and stream health assessment. Participants will work directly with field-tested tools, including a practical planning checklist to support successful school and community tree planting projects. The workshop emphasizes inquiry-driven learning, place-based environmental literacy, and clear project design strategies that educators can bring back to their classrooms and local watersheds.
