Growing Environmental Literacy
Join Environmental Education Staff from Presque Isle, Pymatuning, and M.K. Goddard State Parks to dive into the Aquatic WILD K-12 Curriculum.
We will be showcasing various lessons for various grade levels in the book and be offering hands-on field experience in the afternoon. Hands-on activities include electroshocking fish with Mark Kirk from Allegheny College, macroinvertebrate collection and identification in Sugar Run, and using a seine net to catch fish in the lake.
There is a fee of $10 for the workshop. Participants will receive Aquatic WILD Curriculum & Activity Guide, 6 Act 48 hours, as well as multiple fish and plant identification guides. All equipment will be provided.
